Lincoln/Darwin
Lincoln and Darwin share a bicentennial this year. February 14th is their birthday; so please prepare for all Darwin, all the time. Sometimes Lincoln is thrown in as a foil to the fawning, saccharine, adulation of the story. As in Smithsonian’s article comparing… Lincoln emancipating slaves; Darwin emancipating minds. Last quotes of one of their stories… “Darwin didn’t know 99 percent of what we know, but the 1 percent he did know was the most important part.”
I would like the God I believe in to know more than 1 percent.

I have been sort of choking on all the Darwin attention, too. Even World magazine gave him a big spot. I really like your closing line!
